About:
Tbilisi municipality concert orchestra"big band" was founded in 1997 by the initiative of the Tbilisi hall administrator office. The idea actually belonged to Mr. Gaioz Kandelaki it's founder and head consultant. since the very beginning Givi Gachechiladze, already well-known composer and conductor took over the art directing with great enthusiasm. To make the first try-out the orchestra has invited Gunter Schuller, a famous conductor of his time in 1997 that was a later followed by the concert feat. Igor Butman. "Le Club band" leader, in 1999, who joined the "big band" for the international jazz festival. after the show he marked: "Tbilisi Big Band" sounds very contemporary, comprises professional musicians and definitely benefits from the talent of Givi Gachechiladze. In 2000 the big band had an opportunity to work with famous Roy Aires at international jazz event, who at the end of the show marked: "the bog band was fantastic". In 2002 a joint project together with Bob Mintzer mentioned that the Tbilisi municipality Orchestra was the best among those he had ever worked with and that it has become possible thanks to the efforts rendered by Givi gachechiladze.The big band has entered international jazz space by winning the tittle of the best jazz orchestra of 2006 in Monte Carlo. The year was also marked with an interesting tandem with "ladies Blues" vocal group as well as "Georgian Quality Mark" award.The big band frequently shows up at the events by the embassy of the Unrated States in Georgia. One of such events includes a remarkable cooperation with Dan Tepfer, an American piano player. In 2008 Tbilisi City Hall organized a tour oh the Orchestra in Atlanta and Alma-Ata.

Svansikh is a Georgian pop duo from Tbilisi which was formed in 2010. In same year their first single “read in the air” came out, which has pushed the duo forward to listeners. After small amount of time they have published more tracks “feel the butterflies”, “thinking of you” and many more. Svansikh’s mostly it is referred to pop genre but they have slight synthesis of dance and electronic music. for now i can't say anything more, lets see what they will do in future. as to us, we wish them to develop themselves and to get on highest level that they imagine.

"Rock in Georgia" is a four part, full length documentary films directed by Otar Berdzenishvili . So far only the first two parts are completed, third and fourth parts are currently in development and will come out as soon as possible.

About "Rock in Georgia"

Part One "Radio"
First part of film "Radio" is about first generation of Georgian rock musicians which started to play and tried to make this music popular in early 60's, influenced mainly by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin etc.

Part Two "Alternative"
Second part of film named "Alternative" is about the second wave of music which begun in early 80's, but it had peaked in mid 90's even though musicians of that times are still active.

Part Three "Post Production"
Third part of film "Post Production" will be about musicians of different generations, ones that are still popular and don't seem to loose interest of large audience.

Part Four "Young Generation"
Fourth part of film "Young Generation" will be about to represent, youngest generation and musicians that couldn't get their audience yet, about situation of music production and companies and persons helping this, unusual for Georgian culture movement to fin a way...

I don't have any philosophy, but all my life I've dreamt that i can fly, and that I know what it means to fly. In lots of dreams I leave earth. I often dream that I'm in a surrounded by people in tuxedoes, holding drinks in their hands, and I know I could shut them all up in one go. They don't want me there.Then I'm on tiptoes and I let myself go, I just take off and I end up on the ceiling. And then ... I swoop down to the floor and fly up again, and everyone says, "Oh!" Then I turn elegantly at the wall. I dream that the people are all speechless, watching me, a man, fly. Or I dream that I'm flying over mountains. That's a classic. My Music has shown it from the start. In the studio I close my eyes, I ave my hand on the fader, and I try to form the sounds. I send them through the speakers like a bird flying. That's not a philosophy, more like primitive dream to make the music fly because I'm flying.

On 29th of April in "Royal District Theater" annual ceremony of “Electronauts 2010” will be held. Traditionally they will present nomination for best track of the year. Winner in this nomination will be determined by music lovers as well as local and international jury, which will consist of both; Georgian and foreign music producers and DJs.

The sotry begins In 2002 when 15 years old two boys met each other, two friends from Georgia, Achi Tabukashvili & Levan Lolishvili, began to compose electronic music.. A few years later they make their first Minimal Techno tracks which came out on different net labels. At the same time they begin DJ-ing in different clubs and their first release was introduced in 2007 on Georgian-English label “Piso Records”. The same year they came out with new releases. “16 Celsius EP “ ( Igloo Rec), “No Legal EP” (Lessizmore), “Compilation Red” (Autist Records). In 2008 they already actively compose music and work together with such famous DJs as Alex under, Ambivalent, Damian Schwartz, Paco Osina, Luca Bachetti, Barem, Someone else, Ryan crosson, Butane, From karaoke to stardom, Misc and others. Moreover, the same year they decide to begin a new project called “Autumn Tree” and under its name they will make new music tastes and influences including: Experimental, Idm, Glitch, House and Downtempo. "Lila Land" is a Gothic Experimental project which was formed in 2008 by Dato Toidze who used to play with different bands since 90’s such as "Energy-resource", "Afternoon Version" etc. in 1996 he has participated and won “Liga Grand Prix”. In 1998 he made new Electro-Industrial project entitled “Laptop Freelance” which was quite succesfull in Moscow. In 2008 after Georgian-Russian war he returned to Tbilisi and met Tea Saneblidze who was already participating in different project such as "Hymera", "Dryada", "Valley Lord", some of her tracks was turned out by Russian label “Haarbn Production”. After some time “Lila Land” has participated at Altervision Festival in Tbilisi which was quite interesting as a visual side as music product, It's also remarkable that lyrics are in German what is quite unusual for Georgia.

Sour Skin is a Georgian alternative rock band formed in Tbilisi in 2008 by lead singer and guitarist Zura Sukhishvili, lead guitarist George Tikaradze, and bassist Dave Urushadze, Later joined by drummer Achi kevlishvili.
After they gave several concerts in Tbilisi covering Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Pearl Jam they started to work on their first demo record - "Insects In Human Culture". Afterwards The band played on the opening concert of Tbilisi Alter/Vision international festival.
The demo record captures the timeless feel of grunge and alternative metal with some modern elements of post rock complete with the distorted voice of the lead singer who is heavily influenced by blues music.

Okeane was first Georgian band performing Hard-Rock on Georgian language, The band was founded at the end of 80’s the project was made by famous georgian Guitar player and composer Kako Vashalomidze. The band was formed during so called “national awakening” and the tragedy of april 9^th, 1989 which influenced their lyrics. Melodic music of the band and strong vocals by Vakho Makalatia get quickly famous, the band had many gigs all over Georgia. The Electronauts has been awarded

Electronauts - the third award ceremony for innovative music has been held in Georgia, Tbilisi (republic, not the state) by the media production company KOMUNAMEDIA. This time the winners had been chosen not only by the “online community” but also by the international jury (among others; Riley Reinhold (Triple R), Glen Nicholls , Andreas Rheise , Matthew Collin, Thorsten Lütz , Sascha Kösch) . The award ceremony took part in the newly established club GURU and was split in two parts - the award ceremony and the concert of well known artists like TBA ( aka Tusja Beridze), Nika Machaidze (Electronaut 2007) and new and emerging Georgian musicians. The event will be broadcasted on the net and on one of the major Georgian TV channels (at the end of May 2010). As a follow up a DVD release is planned.
Before revealing names of this year’s Electronauts, here is the brief introduction of the 10-year history of electronic music. History never rules out paradoxes and the history of Georgian electronic music is also paradoxical as the first generation of Georgian electronauts actually emerged during the electricity crisis. The first experiments with electronic music were done in the early 1990s (Dada Dadiani, Children’s Medicine, and the Georgian Dance Empire). At an electronic music festival held in Paris in 1999 Nika Machaidze (Nikakoi) won the grand prix. Nikakoi-the second generation Georgian Electronaut is alive and kicking as his partner from the Goslab collective TBA (aka Tusja Beridze), but this year brought some new names and surprisingly fresh music ideas.

Tbilisi Alter\Vision - Stars for newcomers

On March 14th, 2010 a concert, Tbilisi Alter\Vision\stars for newcomers will be held at the Tbilisi State Concert Hall, where eight Georgian stars and eight newcomer bands will perform. They will play two compositions, cover versions of well-known foreign and Georgian songs. As the concert producer, Irakli Nadareishvili told at the press-conference, at the concert listeners will have a chance to see the outcomes of the unprecedented project, synthesis of underground and pop. Newcomer bands have been selected from the festival, Tbilisi Alter\Vision\newcomers, held on October 23rd, 2009. As the musical producer of the concert, Achiko Guledani says, a concert Tbilisi Alter\Vision\stars for newcomers will be the special and rare evening, where listeners will listen to music of different genres. Choreographer of the concert is Elena Barsegova and dancers of Elen.B. Costume designers are: Tamuna Khizanishvili and Nunuka Khizanishvili, styling is made by Ici Paris Beauty Academy and Anuka Murvanidze. Money taken from the sold tickets will be given to four-year-old Giorgi Tsituri, in order to send him abroad for an urgent operation. I hope that we will be able to give money to Giorgi and we will see him among listeners at the next concerts,’’ says Irakli Nadareishvili.

Mutual Friends are a Georgian Alternative rock Band from Tbilisi, formed in 2009. Members of the band have different musical taste, which is reflected in the band’s music. So in the band you can find combined variety of genres and playing styles, which make an interesting musical aspect in total. The band members have performed on several live shows already and are preparing for an album release. Their first two songs “Drunk Monkey” and “Sorry (I’m a Loser)” have first seen the light of the day at their debut performance held on January 16, 2010.

Since their inception in 2009, the band has changed its members, thus made several alterations in its sound, making it very colorful and versatile – here you can find such stylistic mixes as orchestral ensemble meeting vocal arrangement, heavily distorted guitar riffs meeting eclectic pop lyrics, etc.

The band has performed in several places – including Royal Philharmonics, University of Art and Drama, several gigs in Rock Club etc.

At the moment the band is involved in an active creative process including working on new songs at their Home Studio. They plan at least recording a demo album this year.

Green Room, an indie band from Tbilisi, sound like a cross between Grizzly Bear and Moby in his better moments - navigating a tricky terrain between lushness and lo-fi with an ease that suggests a few years in the studio and a hard drive full of Williamsburg's finest. Their debut album, the somewhat ungrammatically titled "The Last Minute of Terrorist", is on its way (so, gentlemen, if you self-google and find this, it's not too late to stick an "a" in there). The driving "MushRoom," an impatient, catchy multipart rocker, is clearly what used to be called "the lead single" in more innocent times. "Waltz of Witches" goes from compressed thrash to an actual waltz, with a melody that bites the chord changes from the Beatles' "Do You Want to Know a Secret." All in all, prime hipster bait with serious songwriting to back it up.

I will start with Achiko (Vocal, Guitar) and Maxim (bass). These two guys used to play since 90’s in many different bands such as “Vietnam radio”, “Kung Fu Junkies”, “Nevermind”, “Telescope”, “Virginia”, “String”, “Gallows Pole” and have participated with many different Georgian artists so they are quite well known among those who knows Georgian rock music. After a long brake they decided to make new project “Dog weather”.

Dog Weather was formed in 2009, summer. Young band already has performed in Tbilisi and Batumi, in 2009 they participated on Rustavi 2 TV show ”Listen Live“”. First two songs “In Summer” and “Civil Defense” was recorded in home studio. Nowadays band works on their debut album entitled “Dog Weather” which will release in 2010.

He was playing the guitar since his childhood and music is indivisible part ofhis life. 6 years old he was playing on school events. 9 years old he performed on his first concert, on festival “Basti-Bubu”. 14 years old he played on "black sea festival" in Bulgaria (Burgas-Sozopol). 15 years old joined first guitar band "California". In 2000-2003 he played in TSU (Tbilisi State University) band. The band was laureate of student days. In 2004-2006 he was working with producer Gogi Qavtaradze and wrote music for two theatrical play in TAFU (Tbilisi State University of Theatre and cinema). In 2006 he was playing with 2 musicians, for the project “Other Voices”. In 2007-2009 he was guitar player of the band “33a”. In 2009 he worked together with Niaz Diasamidze and they wrote soundtrack for film - "Trip to Karabakh 2"

The band was created last year, in 2008 The style of band wholly can be said that is alternative with Post-Punk music elements. As other musicians, they also aim to make records, video clips and to turn into known and famous band in Georgia as well as out of its borders. The members of band do not have the same taste, but mainly they agree with each other in that from famous Grand performers their favorites are Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode, Moloko, Morrissey…
The first performance by Katrine & Me was held in Tbilisi on October 23rd at Alter Vision / Newcomers.

- We had rich impressions from the concert. There was a feeling that we were part of something great and good. It was our first performance as a band on big stage and we were a bit nervous about it too . . . but everything was fine. We performed only one song and as soon as we got backstage told each other that everything was great but ended too quickly. . . We wanted to play more. After this concert we better realize each other as the members of one band. Also each of us liked own outfit that was provided by the festival organizers. Despite to that the final rehearsal on the day of concert was quite long, only good impressions left after the festival – says Zura Lanchava.

About:
In the frame of Tbilisi City Holidays (“Tbilisoba”) in October 2009 the Show Case will be held for modern, young professionals – Tbilisi Alter/Vision/newcomers. Best musicians will get a chance to perform at the Tbilisi Alter/Vision festival in May 2010. The application submission process for participation in Show Case will start on 22nd of September and last till 5th of October.

Interested musicians should submit the following documents:

1. CD (at least 3 songs)
2. Video (if available)
3. Photo
4. Biography

Short listed candidates will have rehearsals from 7th to 12th of October. The Show Case will be held on 12th of October, where the musicians will perform live for jury. Starting from October 13th to October 22nd the short listed bands will start active preparation and rehearsals for the concert. On October 23rd the concert, Tbilisi Alter/Vision/newcomers will be held at Sport's Palace. Selected musicions will perform in it. The festival administration will give the best musicions a stage on the festival, Tbilisi Alter/Vision held in May 2010. The participation in Festival will enable young musicians to step into and strengthen on the international musical scene.
The concert on 23rd of October will be closed by the performance of two European bands at Sport's Palace.
Specially invited DJ will perform on October 23 and 24 at the night club.

All started like it happens – friendly tap on a shoulder, bright eyes and vibrant announcement: ‘’why don’t we start a rock-band?!’’. Followed by several member changes, not sharing the same enthusiasm, the band’s eventual birthday is celebrated on the day when the searching and auditioning of lead guitarist and the drummer was over. A kick-off…
When you fully devote yourself to the idea and feel the over-enthusiastic self-confidence, you create the destiny. There is no way to fail, winners never quit… now we happen to have one of the best young Georgian instrumentalists in the band, own rehearsal studio, skillful people supporting us, best video director and photographer, invitations from live venues, fans (girls) commenting on MySpace, recognizing in the streets, etc. We are in the interesting level of our musical career – looking forward to getting the very first feedback from the wide audience.
(Un)Fortunately, we are not BritishJ we are graduated employed single guys from Tbilisi aged twenty-and-something, gone through 90s and we proudly and loudly sing in Georgian language about the shit going on around us –We don’t write songs, we ‘’sort or shape them out’’ from our everyday life. As for musical genre, let it form out by itself as we play and record more and more. So far, it turns out that we either play music with strong punk influence, or sound like a depressive new-school wankers. Maybe that’s our inner fight…
Last but not the least, we are there for vigorous onstage live action, we DONT just stand there with the faces like we don’t give a shit what this ‘’redneck’’ audience is thinking about us, ‘’I know I’m soooo deep …’’. Give us a stage and six of us will put all their best do give you a show you haven’t probably seen from the local band.

The roots of band “ADYTA” goes to 2008, Tbilisi. At this time finally was formed the complement of members of the group. Each of them already had an experience in plying different bands. Also was determined the style, group will play Power, Gothic and Symphonic Metal. For it's one and half year existence, the group had seen and played almost every concert platform in Tbilisi, including annual festival JAM Open Air 2009 and during this time has found set of fans. “ADYTA” has taken active part in charity actions, performed for victims of armed conflict in Georgia, August, 2008. For the present time group finishes working on the materials for its firs album and looks for the Label.

Dinara (Dini) Virsaladze, a famous Georgian pianist, born in Tbilisi (Republic of Georgia), studied piano at Tbilisi Music School for Gifted Children and graduated from Tbilisi State Conservatoire (faculty of piano - Professor Tina Gogolashvili, faculty of organ - Professor Eter Mgaloblishvili). After graduating from the Conservatoire she began working in a chamber orchestra as a pianist and harpsichord player under principal conductor Vadim Shubladze. Her career continued as a concert-master at the vocal department of the Conservatoire and with Tbilisi Chamber Orchestra as a harpsichord player, where she also served as a manager. Dini Virsaladze appeared before the audience as a jazz pianist and a composer for the first time in 1993. The same year she participated in Novosibirsk Jazz Festival that significantly changed the life of a young musician. She performed in numerous jazz clubs and cafés and appeared in various TV shows. She was an author and a host of a Jazz TV show on TV channel “Iberia” for some time. In a very short period of time Dini attracted attention of many jazz fans and professional musicians, among them Ms. Ia Akhobadze. “Working at Jazz Club which opened in Tbilisi
in 1995, listening to many famous musicians and playing in Jam Sessions with them, significantly enriched Dini’s performance, bringing it to perfection. This became obvious at Margarita Festival /Competition in 1996 where Dini was awarded as the best keyboard player. Everyone, who is acquainted with Dini's performance, recognizes her as the first Georgian female jazz musician who occupies an important place in Georgian national history of jazz", wrote Ms. Ia Akhobadze. Composer Nukri Abashidze says: "Dini’s music is characteristic of beautiful melody, rich harmony and high spirituality. She belongs to unique female Jazz musicians and is an exceptional composer, as well as an excellent improvisor and an outstanding performer with unique skills." Since 2003 she has been performing with Tbilisi Big Band under conductor Givi Gachechiladze. Tbilisi Big Band was awarded The Best Big Band 2006 honor in Monte-Carlo in 2006. The board of directors of the Monte-Carlo International Jazz Awards (MCIJA) expressed its special gratitude to Mrs. Dini Virsaladze, a keyboard player, to acknowledge her valuable contribution to the Tbilisi Municipality Concert Orchestra (the Big Band) and for promoting jazz worldwide. Nowadays, Dini plays keyboard at jazz club "Non-Stop" with Lasha Abashmadze - Bass and Nika Abashmadze - Drums and participates in many different concerts at the Tbilisi Conservatoire, Philharmony, Opera house, Rustaveli Theatre and other music halls. In her album "Mysterious"Dini Virasaldze appears together with many musicians. All pieces were composed by her during different periods of time, so they are absolutely unique in style, character and performance. “Voyage” was the first composition written for this album. In "Mysterious" and "March” Dini Virsaladze plays piano and leads vocal. Gia Makharadze, Nodar Ekvtimishvili - bass, David Azirashvili - guitar, Gia Salagishvili, Gia Tetradze - drums, David Japaridze - percussion, Kakha Jagashvili - saxophone, Nukri Abashidze - arranger and composer, are featuring in this album. Dini's second CD, "Smiling Face", was recorded in the recording studio of Tbilisi Conservatoire in 2007. The new CD features different musicians with a vocalist Ani Duchidze. If you did not know, Dini is a talented artist. Her beautiful paintings have been exhibited at the Museum of the History of Tbilisi “Karvasla”, Art Club “Gircha”, Jazz Club “Atinati”, Art Club “Lost Paradise”, “Underground Theatre” & “House of Jazz”. She has also worked as a model with designer Maka Natsvlishvili between 1994 & 1995.

Biography of BekBekson starts with a miracle-his further cut off the nails of a newborn and threw them at guitar saying: "He will be the best out of guitar players" Quite a ominous sign, is not it? Thus at age of 11 Beka took the guitar in his hands and at the age of 12 together with his father-the jewelry maker created one of his own. This was an unique guitar, bearing the name of his creator. Here, for the first time the installed microphone was used. In the hand of BekBekson guitar can easily transform from the violin into cello then turn into a huge fish which will in its turn morph into a wild bird, arrows in the wind, invisible choir of Tibetan monks if you please. In a word, he is a human-orchestra who creates the miracle right before your eyes. The music you will hear is practically composed by him alone. Being 26 he already has an experience of forming and working with 5 bands, taking part in many festivals. Ethno-impressionism, jazz, rock, avantguarde, noise, classic genres - all can be unified in one word-fusion. These are all creative colors of palette of BekBekson. Rather speechless and quiet as a human extremely expressive as a musician. Self-maker. He knows something. Perpetuum Mobile Project is a project made by two young musicians Nick Songhulashvili
and Gaga Darsalia from Tbilisi, Georgia. All the other instruments’ tracks are composed and recorded by these two musicians. After an year of practicing different musical genres, musicians at last came up to playing fusion of the styles: Jazz, Funk, Rock, Psychedely.. And so Perpetuum Mobile Project was launched in the September 2007, influenced by Brand x, Weather Report, Jean-Luc Ponty, King Crimson and various others of those times. Since that the band of two has been working on the debut album - Perpetual Motion, recording tracks in their home studio. The album is almost ready to be released.

The band was created in September 2006 in Tbilisi, Georgia by three members: David, Shota and Alexander. First single "Snowqueen" was recorded in March 2007 and was presented by the Radio "Green Wave" in the special emission conserning grunge and alternative music. September 2008 met the band with their live debut in Composers' House together with one man project Lady Heroine. After this live show the band stopped active rehearsals to concentrate on an album recording. During the recording sessions the band had other couple of live shows. On 19 june, the band appeared live at the main Georgian TV channel Rustavi2, where they performed their hit single Alcohol. At this moment the band is still in a process of recording their debut album, that will be called Handle With Care. No date of the release in announced yet. About:
Levan Darshana Tsulukidze is a Georgian Multimedia Artist. He has cast in roles as varied as visual artist, songwriter, poet, vocalist, producer, occasional instrumentalist, painter, filmmaker, disc jockey, record collector. Lev produces music and live acts, organizing Batumi New Wave Rock Fest & events in hometown - Batumi [Georgia], promotes new ideas and projects, working creatively and performing live. Very first intentions of playing music he had in early years, inspired by rock/punk/new wave, electronic music and free jazz, by music which he was listening on his turntable and radio. In 80's he was primary the one of them who starting popularise western pop culture there, [against the regime] stage performances at school, dancing parties, and went to underground, mainly, with propagandistic music/poetry group/journal titled "ANTI", which he founded together with his close friends. First shortly lived band "Modern House" he formed in 1989. In 90's he was working in media, introduced its own music program on tv and radio, making first steps into contemporary art - by paintings, video art, visuals, and presenting them in private events, exhibitions and programs. In new millenium - Levan is largely recognised as a founder, director and frontman of cult band "Nijara" [sound poetry, experimental, Industrial] and "Gagarin 16" [Alternative, Noise Rock] - by his works in music videos, with original composing style and beat poetry. Levan now finishing album "Junky & Deo" [hour of musical story about life, aspirations, love & death] and "Re-Visited Relatives" an album of electronic music, which he tributes to his heroes. Visuals, installations... psychedelic lyrics, about industrial and urban life… with heavy riffs, electronic sound and ambient atmosphere… it's - Nijara [means Seashell], a type of music that received admiring comments and the type of music that was to remain as the focus of inspiration for other groups. Core of Nijara also contains friend guitarist Gocha Kacheishvili [Nijara, Nino Katamadze & Insight] duo changing Nijara's lineups and make formations into Duets, Trios, Quartet projects and so on... - "Nijara" is eclectic - the way of life. Major musical influences in "Nijara" and "Gaga... 16" like he said is spontaneous ideas and objective music - Nijara - seashell itself. Levan proclaims Art independence, now "Nijara" plays rarely, Lev had appeared with his poetry and installments in Batumi and Tbilisi, working on script's and visuals, planning to publish Nijara's live material, archives and some latest studio works. Recently he has finished two short animated films "Junky & Deo" (for it's "Nijara") and "Sandino [Animal Grace] Captain Junky Lvein's Tropic Zone Diary", the idea of this last, conceptual, pacifistic, animated video came after the well known events which took place this summer in Georgia. Premiere of both films was aired recently on major Georgian TV Channels (In Tbilisi and Batumi) with presentations, interviews, Installments and live performances by the artist himself. Soon after, films was guest Bimini 2008 (International Animated Film Festival) and Biaff 2008 [Batumi International Film Festival].

Rock Music National Organization (RMNA) was founded in April 2007. Since then a number of various activities has been realized whose aim is to unite the youth movements in the country, to involve them into the processes taking place in Georgia.

Events:
Lots of live-show has been organized since 2007: the country's largest Rock Festival took place (25 February 2007) where 13 top rock metal bands from all parts of Georgia participated; an action under the motto "No Violence" (9 June 2007) protesting against teenagers' violence in the country; a summer festival Manglisi Open Air organized in Manglisi resort; an open ecological action in Gori, an unprecedented MetalFest took place in June 1, 2008 with headliner from Turkey - Moribund Oblivion. Starting from 2009 RMNA founded new project called "JAM!", which combined radio-shows with events. At present the Association unites many famous and powerful people. All the activities organized by the Association are traditionally highlighted in the country's leading media - TV, radio, press, Internet.

MinuS 2 is an union of 5 musically arisen people, who are willing to make some positive things in a worldwide music industry under such negative title as “MinuS 2” is. The band originally formed in Tbilisi, Georgia in late 2008 represents a consolidation of two absolutely independent musical collectives. An accidental acquaintance between Zura Javakhia and Mamuka Sikharulidze and their nearly identical musical tastes gave birth to a band which will be mentioned as MinuS 2 from now and always afterwards. As both of them had approximately same roles in their own bands, Mamuka and Zura have decided to combine with each other about their vocal and rhythm guitar playing abilities. While having no ambition of being a front man each of the band members reckon that all are equally important for the matter of common concern. Levan Lapachi is a lead guitarist of MinuS 2, before which he was one of the leader of Mamuka’s previous band. Giorgi Kiknadze at the bass guitar and Gaga Gomarteli at drum machines were part of Zura’s former band.

In spite of having differences in musical tastes including alternative rock, progressive metal and electronic music influences, all of the 5 were deeply affected by English alternative rock band Radiohead, in respect of which they held a 2-hour concert in the Rock Club, Tbilisi, in 14th January of 2009, successfully covering about 20 songs from Radiohead’s creative work.

Surely such tributes were no a continual aim of Minus 2. That was why, soon afterwards, combining Zura’s composing skills with Mamuka’s textual abilities and various musical ideas from all other band members, led them to recording the demo versions of two songs “I Think I’m Not in Love” and “You Are Dot”, the first of which took part in a musical project organized by Georgian broadcasting television Rustavi 2. “I Think I’m Not in Love” has won the first place and was performed live in a morning show afterwards.

At present, MinuS 2 goes on creating new songs and is planning to participate in several musical live events, the nearest of which is a live concert in Rock Café, Tbilisi, in 19 of June.
